HOW WE GOT STARTED:
In the fall of 2007, Dave Hendershot had a desire to start a Southern Gospel singing group, a long- standing dream stemming from his love of Southern Gospel singing and the message relating to Christ's coming again and our new home in Heaven. He began talking to several others that he felt would blend well together. Instead of the traditional quartet, the makeup of the group consists of eight men, with two men on each part, making the group unique in that respect.  We selected 'The Glory Boys' as our name. After several months of weekly practice, we sang our first song 'Just Over In Glory Land', a medley of songs, as an offertory at First Baptist Cumming, Cumming GA. Since those early days, the group has practiced weekly, eventually adding about 30 songs to our repertoire. We have sung in several churches, at camp meetings, nursing homes, for funerals, birthday parties, Forsyth Family Fest 2009 and special concerts in Ferriday, LA. All members of our group are committed Christians who are not afraid to share their faith and hope with others. Our concerts include testimonies and a challenge to follow Christ and accept His forgiveness for our sins. We are grateful to the staff and members of First Baptist Cumming for their encouragement and prayer support.
